University career :

After 4 years of postgraduate study in France, I spent c. 35 years as lecturer in French literature and language at University College Cork, including 5 years as Vice-President for Teaching and Learning and 3 years as Head of Department Director of the National Academy for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (NAIRTL) Elected member of the University College Cork Governing Body for c. 12 years
